Training course showing presenter, shared screen, course outline

Apr 14, 2014

Though I have already posted but can't find my post so apologies incase you see duplicate.

I have a requirement to create a course wherein trainee can see presenter, his screen and also the course outline, the sample can be seen http://www.educator.com/mathematics/calculus-ii/murray/arclength.php

Is this possible in articulate storyline, if so appreciate pointers.

Thanks

Sure. Several ways I can think of that you could do this.

1) Use StoryLine to record the screen while at the same time, capturing the presenter through a webcam using Replay. Advantage of this method is that you can get it all in one recording session. Disadvantage is that it could really task your system resources.

2) Record the demo (shared screen) first. The record the presenter as he/she speaks to the recorded demo.  Disadvantage = 2 recording sessions but will be less taxing on your system during the recordings.

3) use something like adobe connect that can be put into this sort of split screen interface and record the meeting session. Download the meeting .flv file and import the single movie into storyline. Advantage = single recorded session that is already in sync. Disadvantage = less control over the interface.
