I've published a course internally at my firm, and it went live for gen population yesterday. I've had several people reporting same issue - course is getting stuck and not allowing button options to reveal layers to be selected. Restarting course and/or from where they left off is not working.
Only temp fix that's worked is going in and out of layer slides which are working a couple of times until it 'unlocks' the other buttons on the base layer. Kind of embarrassing that it's not working smoothly for everyone - any ideas why or how to fix?
If this were happening to me, I would open up a fresh Storyline file and rebuild a simple version of your interaction. I would test it on the LMS (or wherever you are housing it) to see how it plays. My first guess is that the slide on which the layers are built has somehow been corrupted. It does happen from time to time.
If you rebuilt the simple version and it still acts wonky, you might want to share your file, because it's probably slide layer setting. --Daniel

Correction: The selection pane (attached) is a layer. The 4 buttons link to new slides, and then jump back to this screen once completed.
Once all four have been selected and done, the layer can be closed down to take back to another slide.
