Turn off AutoPlay My YouTube Channel
May 19, 2014
Hi All,
I've recently started posting my screencasts at YouTube rather than at the Screenr site. I'd like to know if there's a way to turn off AutoPlay for my (anticipated) audience. I personally find it distasteful that in most case when you access a YouTube site, the video immediately plays...and of course the audio along with it.
So, I'm not looking to turn off autoplay for other YouTube videos I watch. I'm wanting to turn it off by default at My Channel.
TIA!

Here's a way : http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/stop-youtube-autoplay/
It looks as though this is not possible in the latest version of YouTube, I've investigated all my options along with discussing the issue with a friend who runs a sponsored channel, it appears as though this setting is not currently enabled that he knows of either.
This will stop auto play on the videos you watch however Rebecca wants to disable the trailer video on her channel from auto playing.
Oops, didn't see that.
I guess this is a prime example of why it is better to stream on your own instead of relying on a 3rd-party provider - even if it's the mighty YouTube...
Tx, all, for your quick replies.
Yes, Joshua's right. I know how to turn off AutoPlay for myself. I wanted to turn it off for my audience.
Joshua, tx so much for investigating AND for checking with your friend. I'd done quite a lot of Googling yesterday before I posted here and came up empty, so I appreciate the confirmation, even thought it's not what I was hoping!
