I've got a layer that I need to go to the next slide but when I add the trigger to the layer it gets added to the base layer and not on the layer I need it. What's happening and how do I correct this?
The behavior you are experiencing is normal. Let's start with what are you trying to accomplish. For instance, do you want the person to visit the layer before the next button is active?
Good idea! Auto-advancing is either controlled by a trigger or in the slide properties. See screenshot. I suspect the slide properties aren't set to "by user".

I didn't figure it out, but I did concoct a workaround.
I just took the layer and put it on it's own slide.
It's working now.
Got a whole other problem now...LOL
I've got a slide set to go to the next slide when the user clicks the next button but it's moving when the timeline finishes.
Any ideas in this one?
