Updating Engage Interaction in Storyline

Aug 16, 2019

Hey ... I have built some Engage interactions for my course. They are in Storyline ... but I had to update them / make some edits. Which I did in Engage.

It seems that when they import into Storyline, the relationship is static rather than dynamic. So the only way that I have (that I can see) is to delete the Engage interaction and then re-import.

What am I missing?

Welcome to the community, Kathleen! 😀

It sounds like you have a few Engage interactions that were imported into Storyline where you need to make updates, is that right?

To edit any imported Engage interaction in Storyline, select its placeholder, then use the Options tab on the ribbon to adjust any of these properties.

My hunch is that we'll need to pick the Edit in Engage property. This opens the interaction in Engage for easy editing. When you make your updates in Engage, click Save and Return to Storyline. That's it! 🎉

Let me know if you had something else in mind!

It looks like your "any of these properties" page: https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-360/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-import-engage-interactions#edit  needs to be updated to reflect the "Next Slide Button" (under Engage Tools -> Options in Storyline 360). Unless it's not supposed to be there (as the functionality OF "Next Slide Button" as well as "Browser" are currently DISabled).
