US & Metric Units in eLearning May 02, 2011 By Dave Preston Are there any 'standards' for including US & Metric units in an eLearning lesson? Many engineering lessons don't lend themselves well to straignt conversions. Telling a mechanic to use a 7/8" wrench. There is no "straight" conversion to a metric wrench. 7/8" = 22.23 mm - the closest metric wrench would be 22mm - write a separate lesson for each unit of measure? - write in US and add Metric conversions in text only ? - write in US and add Metric conversions in text and graphics?
