There is plenty of money wasted on unnecessary bells and whistles in eLearning, but, as we know, engagement of the learner can be a high value return on investment.

Sometimes the owner of the project doesn't want to spend the extra time or money, or doesn't want to change what they are used to or what might go against pre-established style guides and templates. Sometimes there are very good reasons not to move forward and sometimes there are.

I was recently asked about this during a presentation and it sparked discussion. I made a video about this from my experience but would love to hear about how you all have worked with the budget or explained ROI to spend more time on the user experience and engagement level of your courses.
