I am changing the edited videos in moviemaker to MP4 and then to flv in Articulate.
I tried to upload the video as MP4 to see what would happen and it would not run correctly.
I will always have to edit videos to what I need for each presentation.
Can you explain what happens when you insert the mp4 to Storyline?
Storyline will output all videos to MP4 after publishing, so it is best to focus on that instead of going around it with conversion after conversion - primarily because of the degrading quality that this introduces.
Just noticed you are on 09. If memory serves right, Presenter 09 will only output flv video. So you should find a way to convert to flv directly to reduce the compression effects or (while exporting from moviemaker) increase the quality of the output file as much as possible.
One other route would be to export to AVI from moviemaker (if that's an option).

Hi Linda,
FLV is a high compression lossy format, hence the noticeable reduction in quality.
It is better to encode to MP4 directly, or better still, let Storyline handle the conversion.

I did go to insert flashmovie under Articulate and put in the MP4 video.
When I did the publish preview it stopped after a few seconds.
Is there a different way to insert an MP4 video?

One other route would be to export to AVI from moviemaker (if that's an option).
Not much more you can do, I'm afraid.
With the version that I have it is MP4 or wmv.
