Working with photo images
Sep 05, 2014
On a recent trip to Outback Australia I took some photos that I've shared by adding them to my e-Portfolio. The photos are totally unedited at this point. The trip was totally amazing and one of the most amazing things was the blueness of the sky. I started thinking about how I once spent a ridiculous amount of time searching for images of "blue sky with clouds" to use in my e-Learning projects and now I had the perfect opportunity to create my own images.
If you look at my photos, you will see that I have some really interesting "textures" - from sand, through to leaves, rocks and of course the sky. You might also notice that I became a little obsessed with photographing the Australian wild flowers which were totally amazing. There are some pretty good general scenery ones as well, and then there's the ones where I became obsessed with the numerous ruins we came across on the Oodnadatta Track.
I thought it might be fun to offer these photos up for general discussion around how they could be used in one of the weekly challenges. I have been watching the "retro" type photos that seem to be pretty commonly used now as backgrounds and would love to see how this can be done with my photos.
I originally thought the photos of the ruins could be used in a type of scenario - but I'm not sure what.
If anyone has any thoughts, ideas or suggestions, please jump in.
You can view presentations of the photos on my e-Portfolio "Freebies" page where you can also download two zip files with all the images.

Thanks, Dianne! Those images are great and the colors are ideal for retro designs.
