You can't change the text color of the presentation name or tabs in the top bar using the color editor. However, you can use the method below to make the changes:
Identify the hex color code of your chosen color. (There are numerous web sites that provide hex color codes.)
Publish your Articulate presentation.
Navigate to the Data folder that was created when you published the presentation.
Locate the playerproperties.xml file. Open this file with a text editor, such as Notepad.
Locate the attribute. It will be near the top of the document. (You can use the Find feature to locate it if necessary.)
You will see something like 0x686868. Change the six digits that follow the "0x" to the hex color code of your chosen color.
I would also like to change the color of the "attachments" heading text and the other resources ("Glossary" and "How to Navigate") that I have added to the tab in the top, right-hand corner of my player. I am following your instructions above but can't figure out what the name of the attribute is to make sure I change the right thing.
If you're looking for a specific color, just open a search engine and type in the color followed by hex number. For example, red would be:
0xCD0000
Keep in mind that the format that you'll find online will look like this: #CD0000. Just substitute 0x in place of the # symbol and it should work as expected.
Thanks for the quick response... Sorry, I should have been more clear - I am having trouble figuring out which "tag" name to change (i.e "textColor1" or "buttonTextColor" etc.)
Hi Fiona, the tabs on the top edge of the player get their color from the parameter called "Unviewed Slide Titles" in the Slide List Colors section of the Presenter color scheme editor. As the parameter name implies, the color also affects unviewed slide titles; it also controls the color of the title text in the top bar of the player. (Also, there's a rollover color associated with the tabs on your player; that color comes from "Tab rollover" in the section called Tab Colors.)
If you'd like some tools that help make it easier to figure out which item is controlled by which color parameter, David created this cool interactive colorizer job aid. Or if you prefer a pdf that you can print, you could use this color diagram.
I was able to use information here to change the color of the Attachments label. However, I would find useful a labeled graphic for the areas in the Color Schemes. Did I overlook that somewhere?
