SSML in a Code Block

We have very strict 508-compliance requirements, and we use A LOT of acronyms that require us to use SSML to correct pronunciation. We have done this successfully in Storyline, but we are trying to create Rise360 courses to make a more scalable and easier-to-edit training suite.

I am experimenting with the Code Block to incorporate SSML but so far have only been able to come up with a robotic sounding voice that is only triggered when I press a coded button.

Does anyone have sample code that would allow a screen-reader to automatically read SSML.? If you can also help me change the voice, that would be amazing.
