Oh my gosh. Yes. That's exactly the effect I am trying for. I need to have a 3 drawer file cabinet and pull a folder out and put a folder back and close the drawer. How did you get that illusion?
Thanks David. I made the screenr but I can't seem to publish it. :( I've tried before with the same result so maybe it's a firewall issue? Serious bummer. This isn't as cool, but here's how I did it
Vicki- if you end up wanting to use this head-on version and take out/inset a folder, here is another version with a folder coming out. Feel free to desconstruct this file and use it however you want.
That's terrific. Thanks. I have expanded it to a 3 drawer and got the file folder to raise up and go to the right and I've created another folder to try to set up the drop down and open up, but I can't figure out how to make it turn sideways and the illusion of opening up. Any ideas on that one?
I'm thinking your best bet is to rotate the folder 90 degrees, then do a wipe on a copy of the folder without the tab and then have a paper image appear (the paper could be a small snagit image of whatever document you will be looking at) or something like that. Here is my idea (edited from yours)...
AWESOME screenr, Gina! I love how you made that folder open. I have been enjoying the collaborative efforts of the community for a while now so I'm happy to get to contribute something myself. I know it will be a little late, but I'll see if I can get my screenr to publish from home tonight.
Alright- I know it's old news at this point, but I did manage to get MY VERY FIRST SCREENR published on how to create the filing cabinet. If anyone is still interested, here it is
Wonderful, I will use your file cabinet idea in the next future to illustrate different steps of one course and using hyperlinks to go to one step or another

Someone did a follow up screenr on this where she used Natalia's awesome cabinet idea and made a folder come out of the drawer and open. Does anyone know how to find that? I've exhausted myself looking!
It was the one I did I think; unless someone else did it too...but this one I used the arc motion path and three pieces to make the folder look like it opened once it came out.

Hi Kristin and all,
I'd done a screenr also where a folder comes out of the drawer. My approach was different from Gina's neat one. So, another idea!

I just did this really quickly with ppt objects. Is that the type of thing you had in mind?
Nice job on the cabinets. I have something similar.
I did this one really quick too. (from the side visual). Obviously I didn't edit the colors, but you get the point.

Natalia - that looks great! Any chance you'd like to put a Screenr together showing us how you built it
Great idea. Thanks to all. You are so creative and quick. I have a long way to go.
@Gina - Great job on the animated file drawers. I could see that being used in a navigation menu. Well done
Thanks David!

Sorry about that. I messed up the animation when I grouped the file drawers. Here's another try.

PS- if anyone else has trouble getting screenr to publish, I upgraded my browser to Google Chrome and that took care of it
Gina and Nadia: Thanks for the great file cabinet screenrs. These will be very handy.
