Here's how you can create your own lightbox effect using slide layers, animation and triggers. If you're looking for more control over how objects display and load, this might be a good solution.
Keep in mind that this effect will be specific to the slide you build and can't be referenced at any time like a true lightbox slide.
I built a custom lightbox that faded in and had some other animations - it looked really cool. However, when I returned to the base layer and came back to the lightbox for a second time, none of the animations worked. The content all dropped in immediately.

Figured it out!
Layer Properties > Revisits > Reset to initial state
Thanks for the help! I was trying to go with a layer for this, but the advise regarding the triggers was most useful.
