nice job on the player customisablity but unfortunately there is no exit button on the player like a big X in the top right so this means that when we pop the learning event out of our LMS there is no way for the user to get back to the master course list of learning events.
Can you please add an option to close the player ie X in top right corner?
We got around this in articulate by using a third party player template and the brothers specifically added this for us
popping a new tab and expecting the learner to close the window to return to the orignail page is not fool proof so I think this will be a show stopper for many people trying to implement this in practice
Custom buttons with triggers can be added to the top menu (right or left) using the Player Properties dialog. You can also add custom buttons to the master slide to trigger a close course option.

I have created my own color scheme for player. This color scheme is replicating in Flash based player but it is not reflecting in html5 version? It will be of great help if you could tell me how to resolve this issue.
There are certain features that won't carry over to HTML5, but a custom color scheme shouldn't be one of them. Would you mind submitting a case, and including your .story file for us to get a better look at it? Thanks!
No fresh news, but if there's anything specific you'd like to see implemented in future releases, or functionality that you'd like to have, there's no better way to communicate that to our development team than through a feature request. Thanks for your input!
I was just assuming that you were hoping to make changes that aren't currently possible without the SDK, but there is plenty of customization that can be done to the player with what's built-in. What specifically are you hoping to do? - maybe we can help...
I understand the adding/removing/moving parts of the built-in player functions. I was hoping for a way to fully customize the player ... I am guessing that can only be done using SDK as you said. Will be waiting for that; thanks Peter.
If it helps, beyond the built-in player customizations, here's a job aid to help you quickly identify which parameters in Storyline's player properties are used to control the color of each item on your course player. If you need help with how to customize your player colors, check out this tutorial.
Any time frame on creating customized Storyline Skins like you can do in Presenter? We had a skin created for Presenter and would like to have one created in Storyline that looks the same as the Presenter one.

To create a truly custom skin in SL, you will need to wait until the SDK (Software Developer's Toolkit) is available - no details as yet.

You can make a custom player, but it takes some work - I've been working on one using master slides.
Basic play/pause/next/prev are fairly easy to create..
The menu, notes and seek bar are challenging.

But adding those custom buttons does not work in HTML 5 - is that a bug that can be fixed?
and adding to the slide master the image appears but the exit action does not work in html5 either
The exit trigger is not supported in html5.

I heard you can make custom skins using Flash to create an swf. Can anyone expand on that?
