Custom Submit button doesn't trigger feedback

Jan 02, 2013

Hi

I've created a freeform  pick many question and added a custom Submit button. However, when I preview the screen, clicking the custom button will not trigger correct/incorrect feedback. The functionality works fine using the default submit button

Any thoughts?

Sorry to open an older thread here, but I've got a related question - the above works on a slide by slide basis...  but what about from the question master?  What seems to happen is that the trigger for the button becomes 'submit "unassigned" interaction', and since the button is on the master, I can't edit it on a specific slide to assign the relevant interaction.

Ideally, I wouldn't have to do that last step anyway, and I could make the trigger something like "submit interaction" when there's only one interaction on the slide, it would work...

Any ideas?  Otherwise, it seems like we're copying and pasting the custom Submit button onto each question slide every time we create a new question.

I would also like to have a custom Submit button on master slide, and we're almost there because "Submit Interaction" is available but to "unassigned". Why doesn't it just validate "Default Slide Question" ? So close !..

Hi Brent,

Slide 1.8 is set to show the "next layer" when the user clicks your button, and that layer is set to hide the other slide layers. So that seems to be working as designed? If I'm missing something or misunderstanding something please let me know - but my thought is instead of placing the next button on your layer and showing that first, what about putting it on the incorrect/correct layers anyway?

If I remove your next button trigger the feedback shows as expected.

I am in the same boat, it should be relatively easy shouldn't it, to validate or just have it as a "Submit.Button" variable that can be set from master and picked up in any slide ?
