Custom skin install

I found a free custom skin that I wanted to check out: http://elearningbrothers com/free-articulate-skin/ but when I download the zipped files, the instructions are to change the file to an artpkg so it's recognized, but I don't know which one to change and how to change an extension Probably a sign that I should avoid this skin, since I'll be in over my head if it doesn't work! In case I'm still foolish enough to try, can anyone tell me which of the files to change and how?

Hi Holly-

After you download the aspen_dark_simple_noaudio zip file, you simply select the " zip" part of the file name and change it to "artpkg"

Now, you might have your Windows view preferences set to hide extensions Do you see the zip extension? If you don't, you'll need to enable the view

  1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options
  2. Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings, do one of the following:
  • To hide file extensions, select the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK
  • To display file extensions, clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK
