Can someone please take a look at this, http://community articulate com/forums/t/6438 aspx I accidentally posted this in the Articulate Presenter section

Long story short - see image below - the gray area is where my navigational sidebar is suppose to be located I have never had this happen before, has anyone had this occur? Thanks

Adam,

The LOADING progress bar is part of a Flash Movie inserted and set to display in the presenter panel Does this presentation have a Flash Movie inserted on this slide? If not, there might be a conflict in your code that is attempting to load this panel You can verify if a movie was inserted by opening the published presenation xml file and look for the following tag:

"<videopresenter>

<filename>flash_movie_file_here</filename>"

I hope this helps!

Yes, I created my own navigational bar in Flash and inserted it in the presenter panel as a Flash Movie When the dialog box "Insert Flash Movie" appears the navi bar that I created shows up correctly in the preview area and I have the movie set to display in presenter panel and when user clicks next

Once the movie is inserted into this slide I go to preview and the image above appears I have tried also publishing the course this slide still appears as shown above

The scripting in my Flash movie is shown below:

shop onRelease = function() {
   _level0 ArtAPI PlaySlideNum(11);
};
office onRelease = function() {
   _level0 ArtAPI PlaySlideNum(34);
};
both onRelease = function() {
 _level0 ArtAPI PlaySlideNum(59);
};

Adam,

My apologies I just noticed the code in my original post was omitted You should look for :

"<videopresenter>
<filename>flash_movie_file_here</filename> (see notes on naming convention used below)"

You stated  - "and I have the movie set to display in presenter panel and when user clicks next "

> How are you doing this? - It seems like the code you have configured to do this, is not finding your file

Note: Files inserted and set to Display in the presenter panel get renamed after inserting So for example, if I insert myMovie swf this file will get published to the /data/swf/ folder with the filename fm_myMovie swf

I hope this helps!

Sorry David,

I kind of typed up the last explanations rather quick without checking my work

What I did was used the Articulate Ribbon and chose "Insert Flash Movie" -> selected my SWF file, which is named, Branching swf -> after selecting the SWF file the "Insert Flash Movie" dialog box appears as so (image below) Notice how in the preview section of this box the actual SWF file appears and I tested the file there, it appears to work

I also checked the /data/swf/folder and the SWF file is located there as you explained fm_Branching swf

Do you have Flash CS5 or an earlier version? Maybe I could attach my flash file and you could test it

Adam,

FYI - I inserted a second frame and your Braching swf  file now works in the presenter panel

Note: When Targeting/Publish specific Flash Versions in CS5, try and target a lower version like FlashPlayer 6 This will maximize the number of users who can view this content without compatibility issues I noticed you have your project set to target Flash Player 10

Huh, imagine that adding a couple frames made the SWF file work in preview mode Guess I didn't realize that the files must be at least 2 frames

I published the course and it worked! I'll have to add to my rules that that SWF files must be 2 frames, at least

Thanks again for your help David
