Tracking / Accessing learner quiz responses when NOT hosting course on an LMS. Possible?

Has anyone Published from SL / Rise as Web or xAPI format and been able to "access" the learner's answers / responses from the quiz in your course.

I have a need to build a course that will NOT reside in an LMS. Instead the HTML content will be baked into another mobile app. We'd like the learner to answer quiz questions and be able to pass their responses to the mobile app to use for scoring and a leaderboard .

When I  Export a course for Web and run through the course locally on my laptop, I was expecting my responses to be written into some subfolder in the course structure, but perhaps they are not written anywhere?

Hi John,

I have done this a few times in the past using different methods depending on the client's needs. If they only need to track a few items then we will add some JS triggers to send/fetch the data. If they need to track everything then we will extend the "NONEFunctions.js" file.

For Rise you would need to hijack the xapi or scormdriver functions and have them send your data. It gets complicated because they expect specific responses.

We have had some luck extending the React.js functions that Rise uses; so that might be an option too.

That video is demonstrating leveraging the Microsoft ActiveXObject  which only worked in IE and I am pretty sure is not supported by any browsers any more.
