Adding attestation to a course with output file?
Hi all, I am tasked with adding an attestation button to the end of a course that I only have the output HTML file for. I am stumped! Is this possible, and if so, do you have any tips?

I you wan't to change a storyline course you need the original .story file
Hi Chantelle,
Welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community!
Jurgen is correct that you'll need the original .story file to edit the project. It's not possible to edit the published output. I suggest asking the course creator for the original file if you can. We also recommend working on and saving projects to your local hard drive. If you have access to the computer on which the course was created, you can try searching for a backup file there.
Here's how:
- Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline.
- Scan the contents of this folder for a .story file
- If you find the file, copy it to your desktop (if you find more than one, copy the latest version).
- Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
- Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
I hope this helps! If you need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out here or privately in a support case.
