Articulate 360 Peek Window issues
I apologize is this is covered elsewhere, but I didn't see it if it is. I have dual monitors because I find it easier to develop that way (pull up material in Word on one screen, copy into Storyline on the other). The Peek screen recorder seems to be a bit confused by that. When I try to record something, the "window" that shows up is about four inches from the screen I choose.
For example, if I choose "full screen" of the monitor on my left, it puts the red box mostly in the middle of the two monitors instead of fully over the left side. I am posting a screen shot of where the window goes on this page for an example (attached). The weird thing is that it will record the screen as if it is in the proper place (though does record the line of record box itself). If I move it with the move crosshairs to cover the window fully over the where I want it, it does not record correctly (it acts offcenter). I've tried playing with various things in Properties to see if it is a "compatability" thing, but haven't found an answer yet. Anyone have any ideas?

Hello Ashley,
Thanks for that screenshot, and I'm happy to jump in!
Since disconnecting the second monitor didn't help, could you try adjusting your Display Settings and Scale and layout settings to 100%?
We heard that resolves the issue for most folks, but let us know if Peek 360 is still giving you trouble. We're here to help!

I realize this is an old thread but I am having the same issue. When I have 2 monitors, the application I select to record is skewed.
I disconnected my 2nd monitor and I have the same problem. I went ahead and recorded anyway and used hotkeys to stop the recording. That worked, but the problem then became the recording captured the red outline that peek said it was recording, even though it was skewed (image attached).
I'm using Windows 10
Hi Darlene!
Thanks for your update and for reaching out to our Support team! It looks like Robert's tips did the trick:
Let’s try these suggestions:
A) Make sure that ‘video hardware acceleration’ is enabled on your PC: https://articulate.fyi/2kIP5hi
B) Repair Peek. Here's how: https://articulate.fyi/2zWOUEw
C) Check and install Windows update: https://articulate.fyi/3c6TtwZSo glad to hear this, and we are here if you have any more questions!

Hi!
I'm also following to see when this may be fixed! I updated all the Scale and Layout options in my Display Settings to all different things with it still either cutting off my recording or recording multiple desktops. Hello Darlene,
Thank you for that helpful video, and welcome to Articulate 360 and E-Learning Heroes! 🥳
As a good first step, let's check that both screens are using the same display settings. We recommend 100% for the best results.
Here's how to check:

Hello,
I tried again to create a Peek video using the window sizing at 100% and
neither video worked. Both are attached.Do you have suggestions?
Thank you in advance!

I am new to Articulate 360 and am just learning Peek 360 today.
Is there a fix for this dual screen issue? I'm having the same issues that the previous users on this thread experienced. When I am using dual screens, Peek gets confused, and the Peek preview pane gets caught up somewhere in between them. When I record, I get half of my image.
Thank you,
Darlene
Greetings, Maryam!
So sorry you're facing this. We're continuing to monitor this behavior, so I've shared your experience in our report.
In the meantime, what Scale and Layout setting are you using? Here's how to check and change this setting:
- Right-click your desktop and select Display settings.
- Click the Display tab in the upper left corner of the window that appears.
- Under Scale and layout, select 100% (recommended value) from the drop-down list.
Let me know if you see a difference when recording in Peek 360 again!

Hello, please let us know when the bug is fixed. I'm using Windows 10 and have 3 monitors. Even when I resize the recording window, the outcome is not what I had selected. Regardless of my recording size and select, it records half of my first and 2nd monitor.
Hi Gillian,
Thanks for contacting us and sharing that you are running into a similar issue.
Does the resolution match on both of your monitors? Looking back through the conversation and support cases, this seems to resolve the issue.
