Articulate Admin Question

I'll preface this by stating that I'm flummoxed.

As the Articulate Admin for our instance, shouldn't I be able to see all the projects in our account? Because I can't. There is a user who created a Rise project that I simply can't find. I can't find it doing a search for all projects. Her name doesn't even appear in the search although she has a license. But, she has a project. She finally had to come to my office > open the project on a laptop > and share it with me. That's the only way I could see it. Again, I'm the account admin.

What the______is going on.

How can a project (and effectively an author) be hidden from the account search?

  • Hi RobGibson-25619!

Sorry to hear that you've run into this setback. I understand your frustration!

The behavior you described is expected for Rise 360 content. Account admins have the ability to manage users, groups, and other admins, but they cannot see the content created by seat holders, unless it is shared with them. Each user's content is considered personal unless they elect to share it with the rest of the team, or specific individuals.

If you need access to a specific project, the user who created it will need to share it with you directly, as you experienced. This helps ensure that users maintain control over their own content until they decide to collaborate or share it.

For future reference, I'd like to highlight a couple of ways Rise 360 content can be shared:

Also, this article outlines the differences between Collaborative Authoring, and sending a copy of a course to another author.

Please let me know if you have any more questions!
