Audio must complete before clicking button
Hello-
I apologize if this has topic been reviewed in the discussion posts; I haven't been able to find it. Also, I am a Storyline beginner, so I am learning as I go.
On a slide I am creating, I need the intro audio to complete and also, when a button is clicked that audio needs to complete before the learner can click on another button on the slide. What trigger would I create to accomplish that?
Thank you in advance.
Hello Judy-
Thank you for the insightful information! The instructions on preventing slide layers were very helpful.

you could animate in the buttons after the audio completes

There are a couple of ways you could go about this - without seeing your slide, but assuming you have multiple buttons. What I would first do is either place a blocker over the slide or buttons (e.g., a rectangle shape and then format it to have no outline and 99% transparency) and have the shape end/exit the slide just before the initial audio ends.
Then, assuming there are multiple buttons, I would select them all, right-click, button set, and assign a button set. This makes it so only one is clickable at a time and would prevent overlapping audio.Let me know if this helps :)

Hi Ashley-
Your advice was very helpful! I placed a white rectangle over the buttons that aligned with the audio. So, when the audio completes, the rectangle is removed, and the buttons appear for the learners to click. Thank you!
