Auto-hide ribbon?
Somehow I clicked something and turned on auto-hide for the ribbon. How do I turn this on and off? I don't see the button next to the help button that I'm used to seeing in PowerPoint.

The ribbon minimizing was K.I.L.L.I.N.G. me. Thank you
I understand, Amy. It's hard to track down issues that are not consistent for sure.
I would recommend making sure the option to minimize the ribbon is not selected, and the ribbon is expanded; then save your file to see if the setting 'sticks.'

Unfortunately, upgrading is not an option. IT determines if/when we get software updates, which is rarely. We don't have administrator rights on our computers to apply updates. (We can't even edit video within Storyline, because it requires admin rights!) I did save my file to a new name, and that seemed to work...but then when I accessed the file later in the day, the autocollapsing resumed.
Hi amy!
Since we are now on Storyline 360 (Build 3.51.24979.0), my first recommendation would be to update Storyline 360. After updating, you should find that double-clicking the ribbon will toggle the ribbon on and off.
Please keep me updated!

I've been working with a file for the last two days provided by another department and every time I change to Preview or View Master or View Feedback Master, the ribbon collapses. Double clicking a ribbon/tab will expand the menu, as will unchecking the box, but it's not persistent. As soon as I change view, it collapses again. This other post implies that the setting might be embedded in older story files. I've noticed this behavior working on other courses, but I can't say for sure that it's "all." if it is somehow attached to the story file, is there any way to force a reset without rebuilding a file? (We're using SL 360, v3.37.21543.)
Hello Rémy!
Have you tried double-clicking on one of the Menu tabs in Storyline 360? Double-clicking a tab will turn off auto-hide.
Let me know if that does the trick!

Hi everybody, the toolbar keep disappearing since this morning, everytime I change the view (like when I open/close the masterslide view). I keep unchecking the minimize option and each time it re-checks itself.
Does anybody have a solution, it's a bit annoying...
Thanks! - JohnCurranCommunity Member
Thanks Wendy...I see it's a Windows feature that's a bit hidden away in 'Customize Quick Access Toolbar'.

Bless you. This has been driving me NUTs this week.
Just to note, when I minimize my tabs and choose to open one, I didn't have to double-click on Insert, or Design, etc. Let us know if you run into any issues!

You can set the ribbon to be minimized and you can change it back by clicking on the drop down arrow right above "Insert" and change to uncheck "minimize ribbon".

This happens to me occasionally too...not sure why. Can anyone tell me how to hide the Storyline ribbon? To unhide I have to double click on one of the tabs but this isn't exactly intuitive! Or am I missing something?
