Base Layer Popping Up with Reminder to View All Slide Layers
Both Ron and Judy have great ideas, but if you want the exact solution you proposed, that can be done, also. Just deselect the reminder layer's "Hide other layers" property. Then when it is shown, it will pop up on top of any other open layer. I give it a set time, give the message a fade exit, and hide the layer when its timeline ends. Message pops up, fades to invisibility, and nothing else changes.
I keep running into this:
1.) Deselect hide other slide layers AND hide objects on base layer--the text/images of the base layer show with the pop up on every other layer.
2. Deselect hide other slide layers BUT select hide objects on base layer-- the the pop up displays on a blank screen on the base layer--I need it to show over the base layer AND all other layers.
Unfortunately, my organization wants an "X" icon on the reminder box so the user has to click out of the reminder box manually each time, so I can't use the timeline fade feature.
