Black screen and video play button shown for storyline 360 upload

Thanks so much for your detailed update, KimRushbrooke-9! I appreciate you sharing what you've tried so far. I'd like to have our team take a closer look at your setup. I've opened a support case on your behalf so we can better understand and test this further.
We'll continue the conversation over in your case.
Hello Jose, I've been doing some testing, and it appears no way of getting around displaying a play button. I have to create a new slide with a trigger play button, or set a cover page in the player settings. Both methods do the same thing. Its annoying that browsers do this as it removes that seamless effect I wanted by having the storyline block just play automatically. I'd be happy to open a support case if you were confident of getting it to play automatically? Thank you for your time.
Hello KimRushbrooke-9,
I'm happy to help! I just have one follow-up question to better understand the situation.
Are you testing the published output on a mobile device or a desktop/Mac? If you're using a desktop/Mac and your first slide contains only text and an image, the Storyline block should play automatically.
If you'd like us to take a closer look or help further with removing the play button, feel free to open a support case and share your Storyline project file.

Hi Eric. Thank you for your support. I have followed the links sent by other staff members about the history of this for others. I have it working but had to place a slide before the slide with audio, and place a trigger (button) on the first slide. I did try just duplicating a slide (without the audio) and put a (next slide end of timeline) trigger but this didn't work. I real want to have a seamless experience and get the audio to automatically play. Background: its a storyline block in RISE 360. It works perfectly in storyline itself. From the history I've read its to do with a chrome setting that cannot be overcome. It seems to me something simple but that is not what it is. Grateful

Hello Luciana and Jose. Firstly apologies for not getting back to you last week. I don't work Thursdays and Fridays. So, interesting exploratory work this morning. I was preparing files and links for you to review via Case #01130031 - Black screen & video button shown for storyline 360 via RISE. Well in the process of preparing the files for you via my test RISE course, I noticed it was working!... What!?. Then I realised the difference - itt doesn't work in a microlearning design and does work in a traditional design - wow. I never mentioned this in any of my forum posts. Not very often we learn something new but I did today! So I closed the case. I am also sorry for the effort from your amazing team, but you did help me figure this out. It was absolutely a case of - "process of elimination". Thank you

Hi Eric. I just posted a solution to my issue. In short - it was because I am using a microlearning template, which I never mentioned in any of my posts. I figured this out when Luciana asked me to upload working files for the team to review. It was during this process of preparing files for your team to test that I realised the difference. Thanks so much for all you help though. Have a great week.
