Can grouped objects have states & triggers?
I have what you'd consider a review or knowledge check. 4 subjects, each represented by a shape, one or more images, and some text - objects for each subject are grouped into - I'm calling them tiles. I can apparently apply a trigger to each group, but I don't seem to be able to give them states.
I could convert each tile into an image, but I would sacrifice editability.
Does Storyline support states for groups?
Thank you for any tips on this.
Groups do not have states.
However, it's possible to insert objects directly into the state(s) of another object. So, for example, you could start with a shape. Enter text directly into the shape, and control the text's placement by adjusting the margins. Then, while in Edit States mode, insert the picture(s) you want.
This post focuses on icons (which are often groups of freeform images), but it might still be helpful to get a better idea of what I'm talking about: TIP: Making icons easier to program and easier to click | Articulate - Community

This is genius! I was looking for a way to change several object states with one trigger.
This almost as good!
Thanks for sharing!
