Changing captions background

Hello

I'm trying to edit a video in Storyline360 and putting captions in it.

The problem is I'm changing the color scheme to white letters and black background, but when I publish it to a video it always comes out with white letters and no background at all.

Is this normal?

Thanks

  • Hi. I am having the same issue. The select color settings only work if you are adding captions to Storyline slides. That option is disabled if you add captions to an external MP4 added into SL360. Regardless of whether I upload an MP4 to SL360, or if I add captions to the slides themselves, when I publish SL360 in MP4 format, the captions always appear with white typeface and no BG. What's the deal?!

      Hi JustinNaujok087,

Thanks for reaching out about this!

I'm happy to clarify this. Currently, the captions are expected to appear white when the course is published as an MP4. We have logged a feature request, and I've shared your comments with our developers. We'll update this discussion if we have news to share!
