Closed Captions Cascading and Showing all at once vs audio?
In the most recent 2 courses I have created I notice that the slides the cc wording is showing many lines at once and then also cascading up new lines that scroll up on the screen with time. I am doing the same cc addition process as I always have. Import audio, the click accessibility, paste in the wording. Any ideas on why this is now happening?
Hi, all!
I have some great news to share! We just released a new version of Storyline 360 (Update 100), which included a fix for closed captions that showed up earlier than expected and could stack up on each other while using the seekbar.
To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find step-by-step instructions here.

Hi RyanBoldan-efdb & SamHill!
Sorry to hear you've run into this setback, with closed captioning in Storyline 360!
I can confirm we have this behavior logged as a bug in Storyline 360. This bug causes closed captions to stack on top of each other, when scrubbing the Timeline, using the seek-bar. I've included both of you in the bug report we are tracking, so we can notify you as soon as a fix is in place.
Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!

Hello StevenBenassi. Has this been fixed yet?

Hi RyanBoldan-efdb I also found this with a recent update to Storyline. I believe they have changed how they load in captions. It appears that all caption files are loaded for the slide at the same time. I think this may actually be a bug, but the way I corrected it for myself was to ensure that none of my captions files started at 00:00:00.000, otherwise you will see the first line of all captions on that slide.
It was strange as a project I was working on changed over night due to the update released: April 29, 2025 (Build 3.99.34516.0)

Thank you! Will give that a try until the bug is fixed!
