Closing quotations marks facing wrong way
This has been reported before but has not yet been corrected. With some fonts, closing quotation marks are facing the wrong way. It looks extremely unprofessional and has been picked up already by several of our users.
We are using Be Vietnam and don't want to have to change to a different font.
When is this issue likely to be resolved?

Hi Steven, I am using Be Vietnam. Is the issue not happening with other fonts? Thanks.
Hi HazelBurden!
Thanks for following up!
We are tracking a confirmed Rise 360 bug, affecting the appearance of quotation marks when using Be Vietnam font. I've linked this discussion to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is in place. In the meantime, as a workaround, we suggest:
- Using a different font.
- Manually copy/paste a left-facing quotation mark, into the Rise course, to correct the behavior.
However, regarding other fonts, we've noticed that Rise 360 occasionally handles punctuation inconsistently. To address this, we are currently tracking a feature request to enhance Rise's ability of handling different fonts. I'll include your voice in this feature request as well!
Please let me know if you need anything else!

Steven,
I'm really surprised to find this conversation has been going on for a few years now with no bug fix. I also am having the same problem with the closing quotation mark for Be Vietnam font. The solution suggested, to change the font, is not adequate. In Articulate's Accessibility Training, Be Vietnam is the suggested font. There must be a way to fix this. Copying and pasting a closing quotation mark for every instance is not efficient. Please update me on the status of coming up with a real solution. Thanks.

"Speech marks" - the final quotation marks after a quote always still face the wrong way and are being picked up by our editors. Can this be amended.
Hi HazelBurden!
Sorry to hear you've run into this setback!
Do you mind sharing which specific font you are working with in Rise 360, to produce this behavior? As I shard earlier, we are tracking a feature request to enhance Rise 360's handling of smart/curly quotation and punctuation marks. However, we are also tracking a Rise 360 bug, affecting the appearance of quotation marks when using Be Vietnam font.
We'd be happy to include your voice in either of these reports. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Tanya, I was able to get this to work by using option + shift + [ on my mac. It actually works to fix the closing quote using Be Vietnam font! On a pc it would be alt+0148

Hi Tanya!
Thanks for sharing the screenshot!
I'm sorry that smart/curly quotation marks aren't displaying as expected in your Rise 360 text. We are still tracking a feature request allowing for support of smart/curly quotes and punctuation in Rise 360. I've linked this discussion to the bug report and will provide updates if it makes it onto our Feature Roadmap.
In the meantime, as a workaround, we recommend using another font besides Be Vietnam. Please let me know if you have any more questions!
