Control the top and bottom padding of the Storyline 360 Simulation

My colleague and I are developing simulation training, but we're running into an issue with how the simulation displays across different screens. We're using various monitor sizes and brands both in the office and at home, and this is affecting the padding and overall output. Both simulations were created with the application window maximized, but the results still vary depending on the monitor. We've attached screenshots to show the differences.

Has anyone encountered this before or found a reliable way to standardize the output across different displays?

Is there a way to control the size of the top and bottom padding?

  • This is probably being caused by varying screen resolutions and slide sizes and there's no way to cut out space from the slide itself. One of the best practices for screen recordings in Storyline is to set your slide size and your screen resolution to be the same. This will accomplish two things: 1.) It will keep your screen recording clear, as Storyline won't have to try to compress or stretch it and 2.) it will prevent you from having extra space on your slide.

I would recommend setting both your slide size and your monitor that you are recording on at 1920x1080.
