Double text / shadowed text in imported project
Hi All,
I report a problem that I found for the second time. The situation is this:
- I exported a project for translation to French and German, which were subsequently done. Original project is in English.
- Original project was opened, and the translations were imported (file -> translation -> import). The projects were imported in two separate files (e.g., I did not try to import both the German and French translations into the same project).
- The text following text elements are showing "double text" or maybe better described as "shadowed text":
- Markers
- speech bubbles
- text boxes
Somehow it doesn't happen with my computer (OS: English, Storyline language installation: English).
It happened on my colleague's computer (OS: German, Storyline language installation: German).
He tried to copy the text in every text element into Word (the "shadowing didn't appear), and then copied the text from Word back into the project, but the shadowing returned.
The workaround in the end was select Clear Formatting from the Home -> Font menu. However, that's a lot of work to do it with every. single. text. element...

Hi WilliamRyan-dba,
I see you've connected with our teammate, Darwin. You're in good hands!
Hi WilliamRyan-dba!
Sorry to hear you and your team are having trouble translating a Storyline course!
This behavior sounds specific to the files you've been working with, so it's tricky to troubleshoot without seeing them. Do you mind sharing the .story file as well as any related documents here in the discussion? If you'd prefer to share those items privately, please connect with our team through a support case.
We'd be happy to take a closer look!
