Drag-and-Drop Incorrect Layer Feedback

Hi,

I've created a relatively simple drag-and-drop interaction for matching a "conversation" to one of six decision making styles.

The learner is told that there are 6 scenarios and they are presented one-by-one (on one slide). The learner gets two tries to make the connections.

I've already made the slide after this one all of the correct answers, but the SME wants anyone who misses on both attempts to see the answers that are wrong. I am having difficulty figuring out how to add the X on the "Incorrect" layer for the answers that are wrong. Can anyone help me with this?

TL;DR: On a drag-and-drop activity, I want to add to the Incorrect layer the check or X for correct/incorrect responses and I can't figure out how to know if the learner put the right or wrong answer.

  • Hi Emily,

you can use Storyline's built-in "drop correct" and "drop incorrect" states for this. Select your item, click on states, edit states and add the two new states via the drop-down menu:

Once you have added the states to your items, you can add triggers on the incorrect layer that use these states as conditions.
