Drag and Drop: Issue with hiding correct responses and motion triggers

Hi there! I'm using storyline for the first time to create a drag and drop interaction. My issue is that when I drag a picture to the incorrect target (after having assigned the other items correctly) and click submit, the other correctly placed pictures resurface on their target. In addition, my motion trigger to send the incorrect item(s) back to its/their initial spot doesn't work consistently when testing. 

To provide additional context:

• I have created correct and incorrect states
• I have unchecked "delay item drop states until interaction is submitted" in the drag and drop options
• I have also created a hotspot to reset the states to normal 
• I have created a triggers to pause my timeline and allow my animation to occur if the item is placed on the correct target and to equally resume my timeline once all the pictures are hidden
• In my "try again" layer I have created triggers for the motion paths accordingly and removed the motion path triggers from the drag and drop layer
• I have also selected "reset to initial state" in the revisits section of my try again layer
  
  Basically, I followed the tutorial provided by articulate but because all the items in the tutorial become hidden (whether correct or incorrect) and I've only set up my correct items to become hidden I'm not sure if I might have done something wrong or if I'm missing a trigger or something of the sort. 

Please let me know if anyone has encountered this issue and has a suggested fix!
