Enable Lost Connectivity Alert

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is an Enable Lost Connectivity Alert in Rise 360?

We are facing issues with content built using Rise 360. Our LXP allows the users to carry on if their connection drops, unbeknown to them. It means they think they have passed their assessment but the completion record never reaches the server, so they appear as in progress. If our learners were alerted to a lost conection, it would save issues when we are reporting on completion versus in progress.

Thanks

Myles.

  • Hi LuciaJancigova!

Thanks for the feedback on the type of functionality you'd like to see in Rise 360!

Currently, Rise does not support a lost connectivity alert. However, I'm happy to share that we're tracking a feature request to address the exact scenario you've described. I've included your voice in the request! We'll be sure to notify you if this enhancement makes it to our product roadmap.

Have a great start to your week!

        Hi KarlMuller!

Thanks for letting us know! I've included you in the feature request as well.

        Have a great weekend!

  • We have an Articulate 360 Teams subscription which I think gives us access to all Articulate 360 apps, including Storyline 360 and Rise 360. Does Storyline have a 'connectivity lost' alert?

      Hi LuciaJancigova!

      Thanks for following up!

That's correct. All Articulate 360 subscribers (Teams & Individual plans) have full access to the entire suite of authoring tools. Storyline 360 does offer a 'lost connectivity' alert, however, it is disabled by default. Here's how to turn it on:

      1. Go to the Home tab on the Storyline ribbon and click Player.
      2. When the Player Properties window appears, click Other on the ribbon.
      3. In the Connectivity Alert section of the window, tick the Prevent learners from progressing when offline checkbox and click OK.
      4. Save the project file to keep it enabled every time you open the project.

Please let me know if you need anything else!
