English subtitles - quick and easy
Dear community, maybe you guys have a helpful tip for me.
I have recorded screencasts with a colleague to explain a tool in german language (recorded in Replay). Some of the videos are very long and I have edited them in replay and also cut out mistakes or long pauses etc.
Now another country would like to have this Videos in English. I don't want to record and edit everything again with her in English. But I also know that the subtitle function in Storyline is very time-consuming, you have to adjust everything very precisely. Is there a way to speed this up with the AI Assistant? I imagine it to be like Youtube. There you can also select languages and an automatic translation takes place in the subtitles. Maybe you have creative ideas on how I can speed this up.
Best regards Paul

While the functionality you described is not offered in Storyline yet, we are tracking a feature request to support multiple languages for closed captions, on the Storyline Player. I've included your voice in this request!
We'll be sure to update you if this enhancement makes it to our product roadmap.

There is no quick and easy solution to this. However, if you at least have .vtt files for different languages, I might be able to help build a 'switch' that allows users to select between multiple language translations using JavaScript.
