Error Message When Trying to Publish to Review 360
I get the following error message when trying to publish a Storyline 360 course to Review 360.
"There was an error publishing your course to Review 360. Please check your internet connection and try again."
The course tests okay in our LMS. Any suggestions?
Hi Chris!
I'm happy to step in and help!
Here are 3 troubleshooting questions to get us started:
- Are you only seeing an error when publishing to Review or publishing in general?
- Are you able to Preview the project without any error messages?
- Would you mind trying to import a project into a new project, and then publishing to Review 360?
If you can share the affected file that always helps get a better idea of what you're seeing on your end. You can either share it by using the Add Attachment button in this discussion or you can share it privately using this link. Either way, we'll be ready to troubleshoot and share our findings!

Hello! I have been encountering this same issue for the last 3 days and have tried all of the troubleshooting tips above. I'm at a loss! Help!
- Are you only seeing an error when publishing to Review or publishing in general? Only to publishing in Review. No issue publishing as LMS course.
- Are you able to Preview the project without any error messages? Yes
- Would you mind trying to import a project into a new project, and then publishing to Review 360? I did and received the same message on the new projects. (I tried 3 times)
Hello Lauren,
Thank you for those key details. I'd love to extend a hand!
First, we have these reasons and fixes for when that error strikes:

Hi there,
We have a project that is making changes to a series of courses (6 in all) that were developed in 2017. I am getting this error on 4 of them while 2 of them published fine.
I have gone through the article posted above and none of those solutions appear to be the case. I have a very fast connection and no firewall or network issues.
I fear there might be corruption in the file but it opens fine in Storyline.
I have tried to save as but no luck.
I am attaching one of the files in hopes that something can be saved.

Hi Rob!
I was able to publish all of the scenes individually to Review 360 except for Scene 6. The error message was only present when publishing Scene 6 to Review 360. It looks like the mouse cursor animation on Slide 6.3 and Slide 6.4 has stopped the publish. Once I hid both objects, the course published as expected to Review 360. I'd consider deleting the mouse cursor animations and adding them back. I'll attach the updated project to this reply.

So, It worked on my other course when I hid the Mouse animations (Just on the scene that was corrupted) then I went back in and altered the mouse movements by selecting straight path and was able to make it work with existing animations. However, in the one you sent back, I am not able to make them work and I am unable to delete them or rebuild them.
they were brought in using the SL Screen capture tool but don't appear to be editable.
am I missing something?

Ahh! Thank you!
Are mouse animations still Flash?
Would that be the reason?
I’ll try that on the other courses as well! - RobSkeetCommunity Member

Yes, I just selected a different cursor and they published fine.
must have been a corrupted cursor graphic.
Thanks for all your help!!!

HELP! I have tried all of the solutions previously listed but am still unable to publish to Review 360 or LMS. There are no special animations. It published fine on April 7 and have only made picture swaps and added quiz questions. Haven't been able to publish since April 8th.

Do you happen to have any screen recordings with mouse movements?
- ShelleySkrab677Community Member
No I don't. Just pictures and a couple of videos. I can preview each slide individually but can't preview as a whole either.

Both me and my colleague are having issues with this and receive this error message. I can see that you had issues yesterday with Review 360 and they are now resolved. Do you mind re-looking into this?
Thanks, Matthew.
We did have a brief incident yesterday, but we have not seen any additional reports. I've opened a support case on your behalf so that we can work with you directly and understand what you are seeing. You should be hearing from someone via email soon.
