Fill in the blank question - no right answer
Is there a way to have a fill in the blank question with no right or wrong answer, so once answered there is a response but it doesn't show "incorrect". I'm trying to find a work-around for a reflection or essay type response.
I have tried to embed a Google Form but it does not look pretty. If that is the only other solution and someone has instructions or an example so it doesn't look so disjointed I'd appreciate it! None of the existing support threads I've seen have broken it down enough for my understanding.

I can't believe this is not a feature yet 😓

With Articulate's big push for us all to upgrade our subscriptions to use their AI options, this is where there development efforts have gone into - not the actual basic things the user needs.

Needing this feature as well. Not a right/wrong answer, just a reflection question.
Hi Mehkta,
Thanks for sharing how this feature would be beneficial to you! I've passed your comments along to our product team.

+1 to wanting this feature (ability for a question in Rise not to have a correct answer)

Hi! Just checking in - is this a feature yet? Any way to make this happen? Thanks!

How close are we to being able to experience this feature?? I have several courses that would really benefit from learner reflections and the fill-in-the-blank option looks nice. There has to be a way to do this without the "Correct" or "Incorrect" response.
Please add my voice to the feature report for this!!

I've heard a lot about putting this on the roadmap for a while and haven't seen anything. For everyone else on this thread here is what my team does.
We grab a word count using the XLIF files (we also have everything translated so this is a natural process), we estimate around 250 words per minute reading; which is less than the normal amount but it helps account for scrolling and the words not being in straight lines like a book. We give 30 seconds for interactions and 1 minute for every quiz question, add it all up and give a +/- of about 25% to our community partners.
So if there are 1,000 words (4 minutes), 7 interactions (3.5 minutes), and 8 quiz questions (8 minutes), that's 4+3.5+8 = 15.5 minutes, communicated to our team that this training will take about 13 to 17 minutes.
Hope that helps, and potentially gets this on the roadmap :) - mc-125f1734-fe4Community Member
Another vote to add this feature to your roadmap. Thanks.

Hi! I create Entrepreneurial/Startup Training Courses. I wanted to add a Branding Questionnaire followed by a fill-in-the-blank Template. Then, I would test them on the elements of branding (which they would have had the chance to actually apply to themselves in their brainstorming template, improving retention.) This type of engagement and application is critical. I also like open-ended responses to see what can be improved about the user experiences/modules/formats/length. Please consider this for your roadmap
