Hiding sections on Rise
Hello,
I was just wondering if there were any options to temporarily "hide" sections in Rise and make them available when you choose to (just like you have in some LMS).
Thanks for your answer,
Julie

Hello - seems like someone asks for this at least once a year for the past seven years. I'm disappointed that it was never prioritized as an update. Adding this comment to be notified if/when it is deemed worthy of making the cut.

Good day! Would love to get this feature as we have more and more scenario based modules. Can I get an update on this please!

Would LOVE to have the option just to hide a section to make Rise content seem more customizable. Any updates on if this is something in the works?
Hi Bonnie,
Branching options in Rise is a feature we reported to our development team. We don't have an update yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear any news from our team about this feature.

Hi there! Found this chain because I was also looking for branching options in a course (and don't want to have three separate courses for the three different positions). Do you know if there have been any changes on this front?
Hi Liz!
While it's possible to hide the menu and sidebar altogether, there isn't a way to hide individual lessons from the menu.
Thanks for letting us know you need this feature!

Any update on this? I'd also be interested in this feature. I created a course and would like to hide the "Final Quiz" until the last 2 weeks of the course, but it doesn't appear that I can do that.
I'm also wondering if this is a current feature or something being developed. Which would help with the hiding issue. Release conditions. Being able to select dates to release content would be great.
Hi Stephanie,
This isn't a feature in development right now. The next best idea will be to break your course up into smaller modules that you can release incrementally over a period of time. Your LMS should be able to help you control who has access to which content at any time.

It would be great to know if there were a way to hide a section as it appears in the menu and on the home page because it's really only there for branching purposes.
Example - I have one "lesson" on goals that has buttons that navigate the learner to each of the goals's expanded info pages, which are the lessons I want to hide from view, since I don't want the learner to ever navigate there if not from the button in the primary goals lesson.
The attached image shows what I mean, the arrow points to the sections I never want listed here but need to be in their own separate lessons. Is that possible?

I don't know if this will help but maybe... https://community.articulate.com/discussions/rise-360/fake-branching-and-hiding-lesson-in-menu
Hey, Julie!
It sounds like you're looking to have the sidebar menu of a Rise course hidden but still accessible, is that correct? If so, here's a quick Peek on how to have the course sidebar initially closed while giving your learners the ability to open it as needed. More on Sidebar Visibility here!
If that's not quite right, please let me know! Additionally, could you tell me more about what you're hoping to achieve by temporarily hiding the sections? With a few more details, I can recommend a workaround or alternative solution.
Excited to hear your thoughts!
