Hotspot question that respects other buttons.
Hi. I am creating a software simulation exam with hotspots. If the user clicks on the hotspot, it sends the interaction and automatically the next slide appears. Also, if the user clicks outside the ...

Don't use a hotspot interaction. Use a freeform Pick One.
- Over the entire slide, insert a shape with a solid fill set to 100% transparency.
- Over the correct area, insert another transparent shape.
- Insert your button as desired.
- Convert the slide to a freeform Pick One question.
- Designate the two transparent shapes as the potential responses, and indicate the correct one.
- Add the "Submit Pick One" trigger to both of those shapes.
- On the Timeline, be sure the "wrong area" shape is under the "right area" shape, which should be under the button.
You can see how this works in the attached file.
BTW, I prefer using transparent shapes to hotspots, because shapes can have states. But there are pros and cons to both: PRIMER: Hotspots vs. Transparent Shapes | Articulate - Community
