How to edit questions in other languages after localization?
Hi everyone,
I used the localization feature and translated my course into seven languages, including English as the main language. The stakeholder requested changes to the translation of the questions in the French version.
However, I couldn’t find any option to view the question bank in different languages or make changes to the translated questions.
Is there a possible solution to this?
Hi AvinashGautam-4!
Happy to share some insight on this!
Currently, editing localized Question Banks within Rise 360, is not supported. Questions drawn from Question Banks are translated together with the course. However, when publishing to Review 360 for validation, we recommend including all of the questions from the Question Bank so validators can review them at that time. Translations are course-specific, not Question Bank-specific. If a preferred, or revised version of a translation was finalized during a course's review, those updates must be manually applied again in future uses of the same Question Bank.
I do understand revisions may be required after a Question Bank is localized. To address this, these changes can only be made within Review 360, by the validator. After that, those revisions can be imported back to Rise 360, using the Course Stack sidebar.
I also understand this process may feel cumbersome, and I've shared your feedback with our product team. We'll be sure to notify you if we release a future enhancement that helps!

Thank you so much, StevenBenassi ! I did ask my stakeholders to review the course and make changes are required.
I have just one follow-up question, let's say the course has been translated then --> reviewer adds some suggestions --> I import the suggestion.
Next, if I or another colleague of mine make another change in the translations of some other section, and the stack says 'Sync' or 'Update translations'. Now, if we click do update the translations, does the imported suggestion of the previous translation is lost?Hi AvinashGautam-4!
You're welcome. Thanks for following up!
Once validated changes are imported back to Rise 360, they will be added to the course. Any separate changes, made afterward, will not remove or undo the content that was previously imported from a prior validation.
If collaborating on a Rise course with colleagues, I suggest coordinating with each other when making changes. Or at least, refreshing the course before making new edits. This way, you can avoid any issues that may arise when two individuals are working on the same Rise item.
Please let me know if you need anything else!
