How to pause automatically on the last frame of a video, in a Rise Video Block ?
Hello Everyone,
I have imported a video into a Rise Video Block.
Then I preview the course and press the “Play” button of the video player.
Right after the player has reached the last frame of the video,
it automatically displays the first frame of the video.
I think, that this behaviour can be very inconvenient in an e-learning context,
since at the end of a lesson, trainees need the last frame more than the first one.
I would expect, that the player keeps displaying the last frame :
QuickTime Player has this behaviour, and VLC has an option for this behaviour.
How to pause automatically on the last frame, in a Rise Video Block,
so that trainees can still see the last frame at the end of a lesson ?
Thank you for your help,
XL

Well, this is discouraging... Hugh's post is 1. spot on, and 2. 4 years old! I'm on my first Rise course and am shaking my head more than a bit.

See that this is a three year old post, how can you possibly use three years to add a function as simple and useful as this? This is probably already a function inside your video-playback API, just enable it.

I fully agree with Hugh regarding the setting addition.

If you use Microsoft's Media player, it doesn't return to frame 1 at the end. If you embed a video into Storyline 360 it doesn't return to frame 1. I think you need to at least add a video setting to allow it to pause at end.
Hi Xavier, thanks for reaching out! If your learners need to see the very last frame of the video I can suggest adding a couple more seconds of the last frame of the video so they can pause to see it. The video can pause up until the very last second of the video, once it reaches zero, it will go back to the beginning scene.

Does every solution from the support team have to be a work-around? We really need this option, the solution given here is just terrible.
