I made a Google Chrome plugin for Articulate Rise color swatches!

While I was at Articuland, sitting in all the amazing sessions, I noticed a theme come up again and again: style guides. (Shoutout AlyssaGomez !) Presenters were showing how they use them for everything, but what really stuck with me was how often swatches were being used to grab hex code colors from PowerPoint or a specially crafted Rise lesson.
Even though it worked, it still felt a little clunky and slow to me.
So in between sessions I started building what would become BuddyBar. It’s a Chrome extension that adds a neat little bar at the top of your Articulate Rise courses. With one click you can copy your primary, secondary, and accent colors. You can also save templates to reuse across courses.
I posted about it on my Linkedin and Reddit and people seemed interested in it so I submitted it to the Chrome store! It’s the first app/extension I’ve vibe coded that might actually be useful for more people than just me. Check out the video I made below showing what it can do!

🤩 This is the coolest tool ever!! 🤩 I was in the session with Brooke from Yukon Learning and she recommended making a lesson that contained your theme colors and such, very similar to what you experienced. It seemed useful, but also kind of a pain to continually have to navigate back to. This is amazing and I'm happy to beta test it and share it with my colleagues. Amazing!

Did you end up liking it? Anything you would want to see added? I have some ideas for the next version but it’s always a good idea to get feedback as well! I do have a beta sign up on the BuddyBar website in the form drop down. Also check out version 2.0! Just released it!

Your plugin looks sweet! Most organizations I work with have 10+ official colors. This isn't even the page on gray values. Hoping you can support unlimited colors.
