Increasing the size of the Storyline 360 Editing interface

Hello,

I recently had a concussion and I am trying to work on projects in Storyline 360. I can increase the Slide size but I cannot seem to increase the size of the menu ribbon (i.e. Insert, Slides, Transitions) trigger buttons or timeline text. I have increased the screen scaling on my computer - websites have larger text and icons, but Storyline does not. This is making it very hard to work and is not accessible, which Storyline theoretically cares about! Please guide me in how to make the program access for myself in order to create e-learning.

  • Hello JameySadownick

I appreciate you sharing what you are experiencing with the Storyline UI. I would have recommended adjusting the scale of your display, but it sounds like that is what you are currently doing.

Here's what I see on my monitors with different resolutions/scale settings. What is your current display resolution, and what scale percentage have you tried? If you close and re-open Storyline after making this adjustment, do you see a difference in size?

This is an issue for me as well, as I have aging eyes. Changing the scale, as suggested by LeslieMcKerchie, is very cumbersome as it affects ALL things displayed on that monitor, not just Storyline. Every other program is fine for font size with my current scale. I would have to increase just for Storyline and then reduce for everything else. Can Articulate not add view preferences like other programs, such as Adobe Creative? It would be so helpful. Can we get this added to development suggestions?

  • Hi JameySadownick I am sorry to hear you have had a concussion and are facing challenges with the software. I would highly recommend contacting the Articulate support staff directly to see what is possible in terms of increasing the interface size to make it more accessible for you. I hope they have a solution for you, and one that can be shared here for others.
