Is it possible to convert a .glb into a 360 compatible panorama in Storyline
The title pretty much says it. I have a .glb file I would like to add to a course, and then have selectable hot spots. It appears storyline does not accept a .glb. Is it possible to convert a .glb into a file type storyline will accept?
Thank you.

I have done some searches, and all of the .glb ---> .jpg converters create a screenshot of the model side that you are viewing in 2D.
Hello Michael,
Happy to help! Storyline 360 supports equirectangular panoramas in all standard image formats for creating 360° image interactions. A *.jpg image file extension is the best format for 360° images.
As you have confirmed, *.glb files can be converted to *.jpg files using third-party tools available online. I'd recommend following the settings in this article to ensure that the resulting *.jpg file will display correctly as a 360° image in Storyline.
We'd be happy to run some tests if you can share the *.glb file you're using on this thread or privately in a support case. I'm curious if there are settings we can tweak during the conversion process that will not create a screenshot of the model side.

Thank you for your response. Attached is the .glb file that I am trying to convert to a Storyline-friendly 360 panorama .jpg. I am interested to learn the tools used to make it happen. Thanks again!
Hi Michael,
Thanks for sending your file our way. Converting this file will not behave as you are looking for and will cause it to lose its 3D characteristics. We currently have an open feature request for the support of 3D Objects in Storyline. I'll go ahead and add your voice to this report.
We'll update this thread if we have any news to share in the future!
Have a great start to your day!

Thank you for your response. Yes, a 3D object feature would make a lot of sense.

Has there been any progress on this feature? I also would like to be able import .glb files into Storyline.

Dear team, I am also interested in including a glb file in storyline.
Is there any progress/ news to share on this topic? Thanks.Hi KonstantinaGeor!
Thanks for checking in on this!
I don't have any updates to share at this time as our development team prioritizes other features. I've included your voice in the feature report, and we'll share the news if this enhancement makes it to our roadmap.

3D models have a valuable role in displaying information within courses—don't get left behind! Many subject matter experts across various projects have expressed interest in integrating 3D models into their content and have been disappointed when told the feature is unavailable in Storyline.

Hi Michael,
If you can use a separate website, you might be able to embed the 3D .glb file into a webpage and then embed it into Storyline using an iframe element.
This article talks about embedding a .glb file using Model Viewer. Model Viewer will apparently take the .glb file and create an accompanying .html file. If you can upload the .glb and .html files to a website, you might be able to embed it into your project.
