Issue with NVDA not reading text
I have an issue with NVDA screen reader not reading/detecting any text in my Storyline course. The text is marked as viewable to accessibility tools and assigned in the focus order, so I'm not sure the cause.
Thank you

I am having the same issue - I created a support ticket - sent across the Review link + the source file and the support person sent me this which is not right: I’ve tested your Review 360 link but wasn’t able to see any issues with screen reader navigation. Please note that interactive objects can be accessed by using the Tab key.
None of the test boxes that are not working are not interactive as seen in the source file. JoseTansengco - did you find a fix for Erika's bug?- ErikaRice-a25a7Community Member
Hi BaileyBee
I had just installed the newest version of NDVA because I got a new laptop. I then tried using it without restarting my laptop and couldn't get it to work. Once I restarted the laptop, NDVA started reading the content. I was going to delete my post, but couldn't figure out how. Hopefully they sort out the issue for you.- BaileyBeeCommunity Member
Perfect thank you!
Hi BaileyBee,
Thanks for reaching out! I connected with my colleague Jose, and wanted to confirm that Erika did not send her file our way.
I see that you're working with our colleague Darwin in your support case. I'll let him know of your latest reply to us in this thread so we can continue the conversation in one spot! You're in excellent hands!

Hi LukeMoring-5eac content is accessible to screen readers, JAWS and NVDA. Are you able to provide any more information such as a video, or an example of your Storyline file.
Have you used NVDA for other content and had success?

I'm having the same problem. I use the same template for all my courses (it's a series). The course I developed in the fall with this template worked well with NDVA. I recently got a new laptop and downloaded NDVA 2024.4.2. When I test the module I'm currently working on in the LMS, NDVA just says "unknown" and won't read anything on the slide, even when the buttons are highlighted.
Hi ErikaRice-a25a7,
I am happy to test your course for you!
Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or privately by opening a support case so we can test it with NVDA? We'll delete it when we're done testing! I also recommend testing your course using the latest version of JAWS to confirm if the behavior you're experiencing is screen reader-specific.
