Issue with Rise360 Folder Sharing

We are experiencing an issue or gap with the folder sharing feature. Although we cannot pin point when or why this happens, account holders that have access at the folder level do not keep the same access at the sub-folder level, requiring teams to share content multiple times.

In general, the folder sharing feature is cumbersome and confusing. As someone that has over 100 pages of Rise courses shared with me, I have to go one by one to move them to folders to organize; the multi-select option is only available folder to folder.

Are there planned enhancements to make multi-select available in the 'All Content' and 'Shared With Me' view? How can we ensure folder access is hierarchical? Any feedback, advice, and information is greatly appreciated.

  • Hi AlonaMiller-3f9,

Thanks for reaching out! Multi-select has yet to be added to the "All Content" and "Shared with Me" views in Rise 360.

I appreciate you sharing this excellent idea, and I've informed our product team of your feedback. We'll let you know if there are any changes to the multi-select feature that might help.

Regarding subfolder share permissions, I ran some tests and found that adding team member access to a parent folder will also apply this setting to its subfolders. However, adding team member access to a subfolder won't apply this setting to its parent folder. Do you observe the same behavior on your end?

I'm looking forward to your reply, but you can also connect with us privately in a support case if you want more targeted help.
