Listing your own posts /contributions

I used to do the same thing—directing people to my profile to showcase my work. It was such an easy way to share contributions and get recognition for it. Now, it feels like an extra step to gather everything together for someone. It’s frustrating, especially when you’ve invested so much time into building up your posts. I’m also still looking for a good alternative, but nothing beats the old system.

Walt remarks are ( as always ) up to the point. Personally that was the biggest plus of the old community. Without it, i tend to publish elsewhere.

Certainly we can do it like you suggest, or Math (I assume), and I have our own methods of doing it. The point is, that if the forum does it natively, we all benefit, not just the computer proficient.

A large number of the questions on this forum are answered by forum members, without the need for staff intervention. A lot of those answers are already addressed on previous posts, and just need to be curated by someone (the creator) that knows where to find them.  Returning this function can increase the scope of members answering forum questions. Articulate can get a solid ROI and extend their staff resources by implementing this function.

An easy way I'd propose: create a meta storyline file as a portfolio landing page, featuring the most significant work you'd like to address. You can maintain it like a regular website but easier.

Of course, if you have enough energy and knowledge, you could leap to a small website for more certainty and ownership. Like Github I use, more like somewhere in between.

Indeed my newest post show, but still not as usefull as it was in the old forum. There you had a overview in thumbnails showing projects you posted about, so external viewers could easily find and browse interesting stuff...now just showing the latest few posts..that for sure you can't use as reference to show things.

I used to point folks toward my Articulate profile, too.

One's own posts are still accessible. They're under the "Newest Topics" tab. 

I've already put in a feature request to make that the default tab for a profile page.

I also suggest that it be given a better name. ("Newest Topics" just sounds like a variation of "Most Recent.")
