Multi-SCO SCORM Package with Language Select

Hello,

I have a Rise course built in multiple languages. Each version (language) is its own Rise course. My client wants these bundled into a single SCORM 2004 package with a splash screen where the learner selects their preferred language, which then loads the matching SCO.

I built a solution for this years ago, but I no longer have my old code and I haven't coded in quite a while, so I'm struggling to reproduce it. Can anyone please help?

Cheers

  • Hi StevenBenassi the same would hold true for us as well. We have to have our translations certified by a separately approved vendor. We must import the translations into our courses; we can also have over 13 languages.

      Hi TraceyH!

Thanks for reaching out! I've shared your feedback with our product team.

Also, I'd like to highlight our new localization tool. With Articulate Localization, authors can translate courses and Microlearning content into 70+ languages, and manage all language versions as a single project.

Thank you for the reply Steven, unfortunately articulate localization is not cost effect for us. Every course we create is min ten languages this can range  from 2 - 3 courses per week. The cost for this tool although great for companies who create low amounts of multi language courses, is way too expensive for companies who require this on each course created.

  • Hi there-

It seems like this is a common request for users of Rise - being able to handle multiple languages. I wonder if this is something that we should be putting in as an enhancement request. I have tried to create a single SCORM 2004 package, which I know can be done, but I have not found a clear example to follow.

How did you end up handling your situation, Adam?

    Best,

    Michelle

      Hello MichelleDoyle-a,

Thanks for sharing your interest in multi-language support for Rise 360.

We're still tracking the ability to support multiple languages in a single Rise 360 course as a feature request, so I went ahead and added your voice to the report. We'll drop a message here when it makes our product roadmap. In the meantime, I'll let community members chime in with their workarounds so you'll have some things to try!

Following this as it is a very important development we've been waiting for a long time - Is there any way for us to vote/raise the interest for this development?
