Multiple audio clips on one slide

Did something change with this new release regarding adding more than one audio clips to a slide?
I just inserted a 2nd audio clip at the end of a slide where the clips do NOT overlap on the timeline, but in Preview the Close Captions shows both at the same time which doesn't coincide with the timeline. The CC (2nd image) in this example was captured at the beginning of the slide where this is only one audio file on the timeline.  (I blurred some of the CC.)  I have added multiple audio clips many times before and never had issues with CCs displaying at the same time.

  • Hi, all!

I have some great news to share. We just released a new version of Storyline 360 (Update 100), which included a fix for closed captions that showed up earlier than expected and could stack up on each other while using the seekbar.

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find step-by-step instructions here.

Please let us know if you have any questions by posting here or reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.

I am seeing the exact same problem as KimberlyLoco968. I'm solving by combining audio files into one.

  • No, I just inserted the additional audio clip at the end of the timeline with its own CC. When I went to Preview it, both the CCs display at the same time as shown in the image. I did not pause, and there are no layers on the slide. Just a single slide with 2 separate audio clips that are staggered on the Timeline. Have never had this happen before.

I wasn’t able to replicate the same behavior, no matter what I tried. Could you try reproducing it in a new project and share the file for troubleshooting?

      Hi KimberlyLoco968,

I'm sorry to hear that you encountered this behavior. Closed captions should not stack like that when previewed. We are currently monitoring a bug that causes closed captions to stack on top of each other if the seekbar is used to jump to specific points in the timeline. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or privately by opening a support case so we can test to confirm if you're being affected by this bug? We'll delete it when we're done!

  • are you pausing the audio at any point, perhaps showing a layer, only a guess because this shouldnt happen.
