NEW IN RISE 360: Scenario Block
Today we released the scenario block for Rise 360, and we think you’re going to love it.
Now you can easily add branching scenarios featuring Content Library 360 characters to Rise 360 projects. Just drop dialogue, responses, and feedback into a scenario block to walk learners through choices and their consequences. And because it’s Rise 360, your scenario will look stunning on any device.

Hello everyone!
I’m excited to share that we've released a new Rise 360 update that includes an enhancement:
- Scenario block fields no longer have character limits.
There’s nothing to install for web-based apps. New features and fixes are immediately available!

Any way to edit the background image and be able to resize it or move it around?
It would also be a good idea to be able to move the character to different positions on the screen also?
More background choices would be useful also.
Hi Darren,
You can swap out the background image by clicking on Edit Background on the first page of your Scene. This will allow you to choose a background image from Content Library or upload one of your own. However, there's no way to resize it or move it around.
Right now there's no option to move the character around, but that is a great feature request! Would you be up for telling us more about your needs?
In the meantime, if there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know!

Something else I'm noticing with this interaction the more I use it is that I go in and edit the characters and their poses and by the time I push out the course for review, they've all reverted back to a defaulted pose that I didn't chose. Not sure if this is a bug or if you are just limited in what poses you can select for the characters.
Hi Stacy,
I'm sorry that you're finding that the scenario block doesn't fit your needs, but I'm glad you've found a workaround with the Storyline block.
The issue where character poses aren't being saved does not sound like something that should be happening. The quickest way to resolve this issue is to have our Support Team take a look. You can submit a case here.

I really wish it was possible to navigate back and forth in scenarios - between scenes and even within scenes. Has anyone found a workaround for this?

Hey folks,
As above - my characters are not holding their expressions. Actually, some are and some aren't.
I've changed the expression and pose on one character a dozen times now. I've also tried changing the character - thinking it was a character flaw (lol). No luck. Keeps reverting back to neutral which is really inappropriate given the situation the character is in.
Another Rise branching block in the same course is working fine and as suggested it's one that only has one scene. The one I'm struggling with has 4 scenes and it's scene 2 that is messed up.
Any idea when this will be fixed? I have less than a week to finish the project so need to know if I should abandon and use storyline instead.
And despite the issues with this rollout, this block is an awesome addition to Rise!

A work around that worked for me was waiting to set the positions of the characters until the content was done being written. Then I worked from scene 1 through the last scene setting the character's positions. It's the only way I was able to get them to stick to the positions I wanted.

Awesome! Thanks, I can do that :-)

I am really enjoying the new feature! Two things we noticed that might be glitches and hoping you can provide some insight.
1. A character can default back to Neutral after setting to say a Positive pose. We tested this several times. It sticks for some but not always.
2. When asking others to review the slides, she noticed the call out boxes are lighter. Once you click on the question, it will show up darker. It shows normal for those of us creating the content.
Thanks!

Tom showed a Word doc he uses for planning scenarios in today's webinar on the scenario block. Can anyone supply the link to that doc?
@Jeff (and others) attached is a zip file with the word doc. Just copy/paste the tables as you need them.
Hi everyone,
I'm sorry you're running into an issue with character poses not being saved. A few other users reported this to us recently as well so we're looking into it.
It looks like this happens when you add a new scene with a different character. The current workaround is to wait until you've finished adding and writing out the content in all your scenes to change the poses.
I'll keep you all updated on a more permanent fix via this thread.
Thanks for your patience!

Thank you for the quick update. I did not receive an update to my second question on the lightened call boxes (reattaching screenshot for reference)
Thank you,

Hi Teresa,
Sorry, I missed that question! I am not seeing the lightened effect on my end when I view a published course. The quickest way to resolve this issue is to have our Support Team take a look. You can submit a case here.

This is a great feature. But I find most of my scenario "quizzes" use 4 response options.
Is there any plan to allow 4, instead of only 3 responses

I think this is a good beginning. Been playing with it for two weeks and there are some very positive uses for this. I have a few feature requests as Articulate continues to develop this:
1) Echoing call to add customer characters - the selection is very corporate in appearance, which is alienating to many audiences
2) More character allowance for longer written responses in the scenarios. 150/200 is very limiting
3) Better differentiation visually between feedback and dialogue boxes and control over which appears for all written elements on any scene/slide (per Reena's comment above)
4) Confirmation on the accessibility of this feature - is it screen reader compatible? If no, please prioritize accessibility for EVERYTHING going forward - there is no reason in 2019 that new features should be released that replicate the same problems of leaving learners out.
Thanks for considering these!

Hi. Our team are excited about the new Scenario Blocks. However, after having a bit of play and testing it out, it seems to cause the size of a SCORM package to get very large, in this case 50MB (which at this size, causes loading issues in our LMS). The scenario was no more complicated, in fact less complicated, than the one provided in the demonstration. Just wondering why this might be and if there are any suggestions about how to work around this issue?
